Lanark Highlands Youth Centre is a fun and creative space for all youth aged 10-18 to enjoy. LHYC is open on Tuesdays and Fridays from 2pm to 8pm and Thursdays from 2pm to 6pm. Dinner is served around 5pm on Tuesdays and Fridays, and a snack is provided on Thursdays.
From Yoga to Karaoke Nights, there is something for everyone!

HOW DOES LHYC SUPPORT RURAL 2SLGBTQIA+ YOUTH?

LHYC proudly displays a Pride Flag and promotes conversations on what the Flag represents.
LHYC staff attend up to date training on Inclusion and Diversity (including 2SLGBTQIA+ topics such as Understanding Diverse Pronouns and Creating 2SLGBTQIA+ Inclusive Spaces).
LHYC communicates with participants about language choice and educates on why anti-2SLGBTQIA+ words can be harmful.
LHYC attends local Pride events and advocates for Pride involvement.
