The Mississippi Mills Youth Centre (MMYC) is a fun and inclusive space for youth aged 10-18. We house an environment that provides for the diverse needs and interests of our local youth. With the help of our community partners, volunteers, and donors, we are able to host a wide variety of programs, activities, and events for free or low-cost.
We have a drop-in program available from 2:30pm to 7:30pm, Monday to Friday and 11am to 5pm on Saturdays. From Bingo to Ukulele lessons, there is a wide range of activities for you to choose from.

HOW DOES MMYC SUPPORT RURAL 2SLGBTQIA+ YOUTH?

MMYC proudly displays a Pride Flag and promotes conversations on what the Flag represents.
MMYC Staff attend up to date training on Inclusion and Diversity (including 2SLGBTQIA+ topics such as Understanding Diverse Pronouns and Creating 2SLGBTQIA+ Inclusive Spaces).
MMYC communicates with participants about language choice and educates on why anti-2SLGBTQIA+ words can be harmful.
MMYC respects diversity and promotes inclusion.
